The Cambridge IV is one of the largest and most prestigious debating events on the calendar. Hosted and run by the Cambridge Union Society, the IV attracts some of the best teams from universities all over the world. This year's competition will be held on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th November.



The 2nd Hong Kong Debate Open 2011 (HKDO) will be held from the 28th- 30th October 2011 at the Campus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, after the success of last year.

The 24th World Schools Debating Championships will be held from 17 – 27 January 2012 in 



ZIP – Za in proti (ZIP), Pro et Contra, Institute for the Culture of Dialogue, Slovenia, WDI – World Debate Institute, University of Vermont, and Debate Clubs, University of Ljubljana are proud to present the 9th International Debate Academy & IDA 2011 Tournament. 

The first half of the event the 9th International Debate Academy will be held from the 20-24th  at the Hotel Spik in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia which includes: 



Falcon College is proud to be hosting the 4th annual Pan African Universities Championship on the 4th-11th of December 2011. The tournament is aimed at bringing together university students from across the African continent to engage in competitive debating that will increase their critical thinking skills and foster key leadership skills.

 



The NSU Asian British Parliamentary Debate Championship 2011 will be organised by the North South University Debate Club (NSUDC) from December 7th-11th 2011 at the university campus in Dhaka Bangladesh. 

The tournament which will be held in the British Parliamentary (BP) format will provide a crucial platform for the Asian teams to culminate and nurture their skills in order to be more compentive both in the Asian and the world arena. 



The World Universities Debate Championship (WUDC), dubbed as the “Olympics of debating”, is an annual gathering of the world’s best debaters and public speakers. The popularity of debating has grown dramatically over the last few years with the total number of institutions that have participated in WUDC reaching over 400 as of the 2009 Championship.

The De La Salle Debate Society (LSDS) will host WUDC on December 27, 2011 - January 4, 2012 at De La Salle University as part of the University’s Centennial Celebration.
